The Alpha and Omega Chess Club is a chess organization located in the Dr. Phillips area of Orlando, Florida. The club is part of a larger network of chess activities and organizations in the Central Florida region, aiming to foster a strong chess community and promote the game among the youth.
The club focuses on engaging children from PK to 12 grade in chess activities, offering a structured environment for young chess enthusiasts to develop their skills. We meet at DR. Phillips YMCA. During our chess session, we receive a group lesson from the chess coach, ask questions and receive answers, and emerge in the game of chess where kids play other chess members.
One of the most exciting club activities is scholastic-rated chess tournaments, where chess players compete and manage their USCF ratings.
